PROTEA ESCAPE
This is a perfect home on the Onrus Island for a family holiday. Only a 100 meter’s walk to the beautiful white sands on Onrus beach and the Onrus River estuary, I’m proud to present one of very few original holiday homes remaining on the peninsula. We have retained the simple mid-century retro feel of this unique characterful cottage, situated on this quiet cul-de-sac. We have recently converted the garage into a spacious separate flatlet, offering its own entrance and en-suite bathroom, providing ideal extra space and privacy.

Onrus is a short drive away from the wineries and a number of quality shops and boutiques as well as the new Whale Coast Mall which allows those who wish to shop or purchase a gift to remember Hermanus by. A number of local markets, child-friendly and/or up-market, provides fresh produce and local eats and drinks of exceptional quality.

This home consists of an open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area. There are 3 bedrooms inside and a full bathroom. Two bedrooms have double beds and third bedroom as 2 single beds. The flatlet has a double bed and a bathroom. Outside in the garden there is a built-in braai/BBQ and a Boma braai. There is safe off-street parking for at least 3 vehicles. Strictly no smoking inside the house (R1000 penalty will be charged). You are welcome to use the outside areas to smoke.

BOOKING TERMS
A once off cleaning and laundry fee of R 900 is due regardless of the length of stay at this home. A breakages deposit of R 2000 is due which is refundable should there be no breakages or damages. Strictly no smoking inside the house (R1000 penalty will be charged). You are welcome to use the outside areas to smoke. No loud music or noise is allowed that may disturb neighbours. No unsupervised groups of learners, matriculants or undergraduate students allowed.

Minimum stay of 2 nights |Long weekends minimum stay 3 nights | Peak season minimum stay 14 nights

Your 50% deposit within 48 hours after making the reservation secures your booking. The balance is due five (5) days prior to arrival. All payments must be done with EFT, if you deposit cash, you will have to refund the cash deposit fee to us. NO keys will be handed over unless the full amount has been paid. A breakages deposit of R2000 is due which is refundable should there be no breakages or damages. A once off payment for post-clean and laundry fee is due.

The following cancellation fees shall be applicable: No cancellations less than 3 months prior to arrival in peak season, and 2 months in off-peak and shoulder season, or forfeit whole deposit. Cancellations longer in advance: forfeit 20% of the deposit amount.
