PENHILL FARM
It’s rare to find a country retreat as unique and authentic as Penhill Farm. A scenic 75-minute drive away from Cape Town, you’ll spot its towering twin palms long before the outcrop of white-washed buildings set on endless emerald lawns comes into view. This stunning oasis set in the Nuy Valley offers guests a perfect escape into Karoo living. In the middle of the property, you will find our Manor House dating back to 1840 and next door our Cellars restaurant that can accommodate approx. 40 guests. Around the Manor House you will find 4 cottages that can all sleep 4 guests each.

MANOR HOUSE ACCOMMODATION
The Manor House accommodates eight people in four beautifully decorated bedrooms and three large bathrooms. Beautifully restored farmhouse with four bedrooms and three bathrooms, large living dining room, sitting room, well-appointed kitchen and private swimming pool and beautiful garden.

FRUIT BARN ACCOMMODATION
The Old Fruit Barn has been lovingly converted into accommodation for four people and has two double bedrooms, with en-suite bathrooms. Two bedrooms, one king and one twin single, both en suite, sunny kitchen, wood burning fires and swimming pool in the garden with magnificent views of the Riviersonderend Mountains.

WEST GRANGE ACCOMMODATION
The West Grange and East Grange building has recently been constructed to resemble a converted old granary, and hence the name. Semi-detached, double story cottage with two bedrooms, one king and one twin single, both en suite and a Jacuzzi in the garden. Perfect for small families or groups of friends.

EAST GRANGE ACCOMMODATION

PEPPER TREE ACCOMMODATION
This old homestead today is the oldest dwelling in the Nuy Valley. Built from mud bricks, poplar beams and thatch, and still has its old bakoond. Set slightly away from the other cottages boasting two bedrooms, one king and one twin single, both en suite, swimming pool and magnificent views of the Naudesberg in the distance.

Penhill was originally built 300 years ago on the route to Stellenbosch, Swellendam and Graaff Reinet. A well known place to rest while enjoying good food and great wines. Now Penhill is a quality badge for established and exclusive wines of South Africa.

The Nuy Valley and surrounds is a beautiful wine region of the Western Cape waiting to be explored. Even though this is a hidden gem ready to be discovered, it creates an opportunity for new memories, tastes, and experiences to be enjoyed. Penhill Farm has a variety of its own activities to keep you entertained, however it’s also a great base to experience the surrounding area and find some new favourites to add to the bucket list.
