FOR BOOKINGS: Please complete online the “Request a booking” at the bottom of this page. The house was finished and built for a family and a place where you can kick out your shoes and relax. The house is part of the historic Fisherman’s village and can be found in a quiet street, out of the wind and 150 meters from the beachfront. The house is more than 100 years old and was used for fish drying earlier. The thick wooden beams of the old factory can still be seen in the house. It is beautiful and airy and light and all white. There are three bedrooms in the house, all with king size beds. In the largest bedroom a day bed is found and in one of the other rooms the king size bed can be converted into two single beds. A day bed also available. Sort light spills into the bedrooms through skylights and the sea can be viewed from the bedroom windows. All the beds are covered with soft stone washed linen and the mattresses are soft but firm. All the beds boast with feather duvets and natural decor. Two bathrooms service the house, one en-suite with a shower and the other with a bath. Bath towels and swimming towels are supplied. The living, dining and kitchen forms and open plan with a braai area on the veranda outside. An awning can be pulled down to keep out the sun and wind. The braai area is supplied with all necessary utensils to make this event easy. Adjacent to the braai area is a patch of grass for children and small dogs to play on.
LOADSHEDDING: We have rechargeable bulbs in each room. If the electricity goes off, just test the switches to see which has the bulbs. We also have a gas cylinder available and a emergency light, A Gas hob for cooking, a wonderful wood fireplace and a UPS for WiFi. And a fire place and lots of candles for atmosphere.
KEY AND BREAKAGE DEPOSIT NOTE:
A R1000 key & breakage deposit is payable at least 7 working days prior to arrival and is refundable within 5 – 7 working days, after house has been scrutinized and all found in order. Keys will not be handed over under any circumstances without the full payment having been received.
